eCommAdvisor is breaking from business to bring aid to the community of Leogane, Haiti.
Please consider donating to support the people of Haiti.
On March 27, I will be joining a small team of people to bring aid and hope to a community of people in Haiti. My friend, Claudie (a former Haitian national soccer player), asked me to join his effort "Hearts for Haiti". We will be specifically serving the community of Leogane where his family is currently living in make-shift shelters out in the fields near where there home used to stand. It is our goal to bring a sense of "normalcy" to the people there by setting up a temporary community-center where people can gather for community events, and to use this as a base to distribute tents, clothing and other basic goods. One specific goal of ours is to set up a generator that can supply power to lights and a television in this "community-center" so that the people of that community can do what brings them the GREATEST joy...watch WORLD CUP SOCCER!
Items we are looking for to meet the basic needs of this community are:
One or more Power Generator(s) (new or used)
Flashlights
Batteries (all sizes)
Camping gear of any type
Small tents
Sandals / Shoes (new or used...go ahead, clean them out of your closet!)
Summer Clothing
Soap / Other toiletry items
Sheets / Blankets
Any over the counter meds such as Tylenol, Advil, Aspirin
These items may be dropped off or mailed to Mark Fitzgerald, c/o Hearts for Haiti, 85 Old Right Rd, Ipswich, MA 01938
If you prefer to make a financial donation of any size, please feel free to do so through my PayPal link below. You donations, thoughts and prayers are very much appreciated. I will post video and pictures of the trip when I return. Thank You!
